For the patient, the multidimensional examination is associated with only a few restrictions, comparable to those of a long-term ECG.<\/p>\n<p>In detail, the following parameters are recorded:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cardiac waveform (ECG)<\/li>\n<li>Breath flow at mouth and nose<\/li>\n<li>Oxygen saturation of the blood<\/li>\n<li>Body position<\/li>\n<li>thoracic and abdominal respiratory movements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\" col-md-9 \"><\/div>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><div class='flex_column av-a0ubt-8213c18a20bfb166bdee215ba365f796 av_one_half  avia-builder-el-6  el_after_av_one_half  avia-builder-el-last  flex_column_div column-top-margin'     ><section  class='av_textblock_section av-ldaa55b8-7fac67fd696e9b5bd1e56ac1cf93622d'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>In some cases, a video recording is added. All measured values are stored in a small device and then read out in the practice.<\/p>\n<p>Polygraphy can be used in particular to diagnose obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome, in which breathing stops repeatedly.
